GoDaddy SSL Certificate Type Per Server Type

After GoDaddy generates an SSL Certificate, the next step is to download the Zip file that matches your hosting server type. Then, install all of the certificates in the Zip file on your hosting server, including any intermediate certificates that might be needed for older browsers or servers. To download this zip file, click on the “Server Type” dropdown menu.  You are presented with the following options:

However, if your server type isn’t listed, it isn’t necessarily obvious which server type to choose. If you know the certificate file type you need, here are the file types each option will provide:

Apache > .crt with .crt bundle

Exchange > .crt with .p7b intermediates

IIS > .crt with .p7b intermediates

Mac OS X > .crt with .crt bundle

Tomcat > .crt with .crt bundle with gdig2.crt

Other > .crt with .crt bundle

Resolving Missing Images In iNotes Redirect

Anyone using Domino Web Server Configuration (domcfg.nsf) and IBM iNotes Redirector (iwaredir) should take a look at this wiki article.

It provides a solution for surfacing certain default graphics when certain Anonymous access settings are involved.  More importantly, the info can be leveraged as a guide to allow viewing of any custom logo you have configured in iNotes redirect.

For example (with Domino 9), if you have added a custom logo [in the iNotes Redirect configuration] with the file name, “redstapler.gif,” you need to add redstapler.gif as an image resource (via Domino Designer) to your Redirector database. Be sure to enable the “Available to Public Access Users” Security property for the image.

Then, append the image name (including the corresponding database name you chose for your iNotes Redirect database) to a new INI entry:

HTTPPublicUrls=/iwaredir.nsf/IBMLogo.gif:/iwaredir.nsf/StylesheetLogin:/iwaredir.nsf/Login.js:/iwaredir.nsf/redstapler.gif

You must restart DOMINO, not just HTTP, to implement the HTTPPublicUrls INI setting.

Resolving RFC Compliance Issues With The DominoTeamMailbox

I am a faithful user of the DominoTeamMailbox (created by Brian Green) available at OpenNTF.org. In recent attempts to send mail from the database, the delivery is stopped (usually by large email providers like yahoo and gmail).

Here is an example of the error I receive when trying to send to gmail addresses: Error transferring to gmail-smtp-in.l.google.COM; SMTP Protocol Returned a Permanent Error 550 5.7.1 more information. e188si2055049qhc.102 – gsmtp

Here is an example of the error I receive when trying to send to yahoo addresses: Error transferring to mta7.am0.yahoodns.net; SMTP Protocol Returned a Permanent Error 554 Message not allowed – Headers are not RFC compliant[291]

SOLUTION: Use the email address as the mailbox title.
